Mark Froimson, MD (Board Chair)
Dr. Mark Froimson is Principal of Riverside Health Advisors, specializing in accelerating and financing innovation in healthcare. In this capacity, he serves as Chief Medical Officer for AngelMD; the Board Chair of Indago and of Thrive
, and a member of the Board of Directors of Pacira Biosciences, Inc. and Sintx Technologies, Inc. In addition, he serves as advisor to numerous healthcare provider and technology companies, and serves on the board of several non-profit organizations, including the National Board of the Arthritis Foundation.
Dr. Froimson recently served as Executive Vice President and Chief Clinical Officer for Trinity Health—a nationwide, non-profit health care system—overseeing physician, nursing and pharmacy services, quality, safety, patient experience and alternate payment strategies for the clinical enterprise. Prior to that, he served for 16 years on the faculty of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic, during which time he held numerous leadership positions including serving as President and CEO of Cleveland Clinic’s Euclid Hospital, President of the Cleveland Clinic Professional Staff, Vice Chair of the Orthopedic and Rheumatologic Institute, and member of the Board of Governors and Board of Trustees.
Gary Cohn (Board Member)
Gary Cohn is an American business leader and the former Director of the United States National Economic Council. Mr. Cohn served as Assistant to the President for Economic Policy and Director of the National Economic Council from January 2017 through April 2018 as President Donald J. Trump’s chief economic advisor. Mr. Cohn managed the coordination of the President’s domestic and global economic policy agenda and led the administration-wide effort to successfully pass the historic Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017.
In 1990, Mr. Cohn began a distinguished career in finance at The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. He had a variety of responsibilities, including the Global Co-Head of the Equities and Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities Division, as well as President and Chief Operating Officer from 2006-2016. He was a member of the firm’s Board of Directors and Chairman of the Firmwide Client and Business Standards Committee.
Jon Serbousek (Board Member)
Jon Serbousek is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Orthofix. An executive with over 30 years of experience in the medical device and biotech industries, Mr. Serbousek was previously a Senior Vice President and Officer of Biomet. There he served in several leadership positions, including Worldwide President of Biomet Biologics, Worldwide Group President of Orthopedics, and President of US Orthopedics.
Prior to Biomet, Mr. Serbousek held various general management positions with Medtronic, including Worldwide Division President of Spine and Worldwide Vice President and General Manager of Biologics. Before joining Medtronic, Mr. Serbousek spent thirteen years with DePuy Orthopedics, a Johnson & Johnson company, where he served in numerous roles of increasing responsibility, including Vice President of Marketing and Product Development and Vice President of Spinal Operations. Mr. Serbousek began his career with a Japanese venture-financed medical device company.
Jeff Hanson (Board Member)
Jeff Hanson has over 30 years of financial, advisory, entrepreneurial, and institutional asset management experience. Hanson Advisors is a specialized advisory services firm that partners with clients in financial services, private equity, asset management, insurance, technology, healthcare, and other service businesses across a full range of strategic, operating, and organizational areas. Mr. Hanson works closely with owners, founders, partnerships, investors, board directors, senior executives, management teams, and key individual contributors to define, achieve, and sustain success across business, market, and organizational life cycles and transitions.
Mr. Hanson also served for over 12 years as a founding member of Milestone Capital Management, a registered investment advisor specializing in institutional money management. Prior to launching Hanson Advisors and MCM, Mr. Hanson was with The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc., where he established innovative internal consulting solutions to drive and manage the growth of businesses, clients, and platforms across banking, sales, trading, and operations.
Eugene Malinskiy (Chief Executive Officer)
Mr. Malinskiy is a serial entrepreneur with over ten years of management and executive experience. As the CEO of Indago, he is primarily responsible for fundraising, investor relations, and the long-term strategic vision of the company. With an extensive background in the medical field, he is also responsible for leading new product development and managing physician/hospital relationships.
Mr. Malinskiy has had a varied career in information technology and healthcare, selling his first company (an IT and networking services firm) in 2008. Following this exit, Mr. Malinskiy founded DragonID, a biomedical engineering and design consultancy focused on developing novel medical devices. Mr. Malinskiy's prior and current work has earned him various accolades from industry observers, including Inside Business Magazine and Crain’s Cleveland Business, and resulted in his inclusion in the 2015 Forbes 30 Under 30 in Manufacturing.
